Winter Solstice

As solstices go, today was quiet. We had just a bit of snow overnight, not enough to cover lawns but it was the first to make landfall and sufficient to announce the beginning of winter. On my way back from the post office, I heard Canadian geese calling as they flew south and I watched the sky clear ahead of the approaching cold front. Nice walk.
