Happiness is an OS X icon
Yesterday, amy in Sydney, Australia, left this generous comment:
i looove your icons. i came poking around your site to tell you that. i love them all so much. the sea beast adorned my desktop for much longer than any other icon in the history of my ibook. the stone ground halloween ones make me giggle. and the valentine day candys currently leave a nonsensical message trail across my screen. it's kind of like magnetic poetry, i keep moving them around so that they make less sense.
thank you so much.
It's really gratifying and sometimes surprising to learn that my designs adorn Macs far and wide. My icons make people happy! How cool is that?
Now I'm bringing more happiness to our children. I offered to put their graphics onto Easter egg icons, so those wonderful little computer wizards, 3 to 7 years old, promptly produced ten bitmaps. It was the first time that the youngest had ever used a mouse. I'm so eager for their reactions to this sample image. You know how people proudly display their kids' art on the fridge? The Internet is my refrigerator. :D
