Pixels are my life
A life filled with naught but pixels? Dear reader, perhaps this is what you infer from my few entries. No one leaves comments, so I can only guess (not-so-subtle hint).
That conclusion is understandable, seeing as how I devote most of my news to items like: Short 'n Sweet made the Most Popular list on Apple's page of Icons, Screensavers, etc. After two days at number three, it's now fifth, bumped by The Iconfactory's excellent Litho System icons.
What really thrills me today, however, is seeing Short 'n Sweet at the top of Apple's Mac OS X Downloads page. As far as I know, this is the first time one of my icon sets has appeared there!
The brightest highlight of my week has been my namesake and his brothers celebrating their seventh birthday. I am vaguely surprised that with hundreds in our extended family only these three were born on that particular day of February. Of course, they are remarkable young fellows. At their request, my gift to them was reading aloud: a Silicon Insider article, R.I.P. Microsoft?, which led to lively discussion; something I wrote 20 years ago about being seven years old; and one of the boys' favorite books, Junie B. Jones and that Meanie Jim's Birthday.

Okay, dammit. Here's a comment: Your work is genius, true art. The Valentine's candy is particularly delightful. I wish you well, up there in The People's Republic of Madison. Keep pushin' 'em pixels!
