Warpen Folders galore

My first set of OS X icons was Scheldes and it was my entry in Pixelpalooza 2002. I would design the icons a little differently now, of course, but I still like them as they are.

In the four years and more than 1,600 icons since, I didn't design a single icon that looked like a file folder. For the most part, it just seemed that every icon artist designs some sort of folder icons. Although some are quite excellent, I wanted to do more than follow the herd.

My imagination apparently has a mind of its own, however, and quietly kept pondering folders. In this anniversary month, it politely tapped me on the shoulder and said "make these." I obliged myself.

I'm glad I did. Warpen Folders has been a "Hot Pick" and "Featured Download" on Apple's Icons, Screensavers, etc. page ever since it first appeared on the 17th. Downloads have dropped way off, but several hundred per day is still very nice.

Today I'm working on the GLBT edition of Warpen Folders. I have yet to submit a set to Apple that is exclusively GLBT but this may be the first.
