Online discrimination
Later this year I'll have been "out" as a gay man for 30 years. I cannot count the number of times I've witnessed or been subject to subtle or overt acts against GLBT people. Even so, discovering that I am discriminated against for being gay in places where I believed I was accepted is still jolting.
Regardless of any personal expression that Bradford Wiles has made in support of GLBT people, MacMonkies.com maintains an unpublished policy of discrimination in access to services based on sexual orientation. MacMonkies.com has failed to disclose this policy while conducting business with at least one openly gay customer.
Earlier this year, a transgender World of Warcraft player was threatened by Blizzard Entertainment for announcing an LGBT-friendly guild. In its subsequent letter to Blizzard Entertainment, Lambda Legal stated that relevant laws against discrimination forbid imposing a GLBT "cloak of invisibility." Blizzard Entertainment has since admitted its mistake and asserted that it would not discriminate against GLBT players.

In at least one case, a lawsuit is currently in progress against a website for denying access to its services based on sexual orientation in a state that, like Wisconsin, prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation.
