Terp this!

Not long ago, I was chatting with a friend whose partner is an ASL interpreter at their high school. When our conversation touched on the terping his partner was doing that week, "terp this" just sprang to mind.

Don't get me wrong—I think ASL interpreting is an excellent and invaluable profession. It's just that the thought of needing to engage the services of a third party to communicate with the world at large has a certain stranger-in-a-strange-land quality that brings out my cheeky side.
